The state of the art building was inaugurated on October 03, 2016 by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav. It houses both The Chief Minister and the chief secretary and More than 1,300 officials and government employees, in the building which has three blocks.
The new building has three blocks — A, B and C. The ‘B’ block is the main building and houses both the chief minister and the chief secretary’s office. The new Chief Minister Office is situated on the fifth floor — the topmost floor of B block.
The floor also has conference rooms, video-conferencing rooms, Cabinet lounges, office staff rooms and room for the principal secretary to the chief minister among others. It also has a special waiting lounge for the members of legislative assembly. The first floor of B block has the chief secretary’s office with a 100-seat conference room.
