Tata Motors is a leading automobile manufacturer in India that wanted to create an open office environment that would promote collaboration and teamwork among their employees. They wanted a workspace that would bring people together to work towards a common goal, providing a platform for teams to share ideas, brainstorm, and work on projects together in real-time. They believed that this would improve communication and collaboration among team members, leading to increased productivity and better results.
The project was located in Lucknow, in the Levana Cyberheights building in the Gomti Nagar area. The project had a completion timeline of 45 days, from the date of placing the order. The open office environment was designed to accommodate more than 120 employees.
Specific Design Needs
Tata Motors had a specific need for their open office environment. They wanted to create a space that would promote collaboration and teamwork among their employees. They wanted an open office environment that would bring people together, encouraging them to share ideas, brainstorm, and work on projects together in real-time.
Design Decisions for an Innovative Outcome
The MI team made several design decisions to create the open office environment that Tata Motors was looking for. They used shades of blue to match TATA standards and create a sense of calm and productivity in the workspace. The workspace was furnished with Neo 50 Workstations and Cubicles along with Liberate Chairs from Featherlite.
Furniture Used:
The Neo 50 Workstations are designed to be modular, making them ideal for collaborative environments where flexibility and adaptability are important. They are highly customizable, with a wide range of colors, finishes, and materials to choose from. They are also designed with integrated cable management systems, which help keep cords and cables organized and out of sight. This can help improve the overall appearance and functionality of the workspace.
Additionally, the Neo 50 Workstations are designed with ergonomics in mind, with adjustable height options and optional ergonomic accessories like monitor arms and keyboard trays. They are also designed with sustainability in mind, with materials that are both durable and environmentally friendly. They are designed to be easily disassembled and recycled at the end of their lifespan.
The Featherlite Liberate chair is a premium office chair that is designed with ergonomics in mind. The chair is highly customizable, with a wide range of fabric, color, and finish options to choose from. It is designed with sustainability in mind, with materials that are both durable and environmentally friendly. The chair is also designed to be easily disassembled and recycled at the end of its lifespan.
The chair uses advanced technology to provide superior comfort and support. It features a patented Dynamic Variable Lumbar Support system that adjusts to the user’s movements, as well as a weight-activated control system that adjusts automatically to the user’s weight.
