Kaushal Bhavan, New Delhi

Kaushal Bhavan, located in New Delhi, is a prominent government building that houses various departments and offices. The management of Kaushal Bhavan recognized the need to revamp their workspace to create a more vibrant and productive environment for their employees. The project aimed to utilize a total area of 23,000 square meters, accommodate approximately 600 employees, and incorporate 449 Neo 50 workstations, 441 Astro Chairs, 229 Storages, Intergate Sofas, 76 Bodies Compactors, and 240 Audi Chairs to provide a modern and functional office setup. The transformation was completed within a tight timeframe of just three months.

Challenges:

Limited Timeframe: The most significant challenge was the tight three-month timeline for the entire project. Completing a large-scale office transformation within such a short span was a logistical challenge.

Coordinating Various Components: Integrating 449 Neo 50 workstations, 441 Astro Chairs, 229 Storages, Intergate Sofas, 76 Bodies Compactors, and 240 Audi Chairs into the design while ensuring each floor had a distinct look posed a challenge in terms of logistics and design coordination.

Ensuring Employee Comfort and Productivity: The design had to not only be visually appealing but also support employee comfort and productivity, which required careful selection and placement of furniture.

Solution:

Floor-wise Customization: To achieve a different look on each floor, a carefully planned color scheme was adopted. The chairs’ seats were upholstered in various colors, matching the fabric of the Neo 50 workstations on that floor. This approach created a vibrant and unique atmosphere on each floor.

Efficient Space Utilization: The furniture selection and placement were optimized to maximize the use of the available 23,000 square meters. The Neo 50 workstations and Storages were strategically placed to create functional work areas, while Astro Chairs and Intergate Sofas were used in common spaces to provide comfortable seating options.

Employee-Centric Design: The design considered the needs of the 600 employees who would be using the space daily. Ergonomic considerations were given to chair selection, ensuring that employees had comfortable and supportive seating throughout the building.

Results:

Enhanced Aesthetics: The floor-wise customization using different chair colors and workstation fabrics provided a unique and refreshing look to each floor, making the office space visually appealing.

Improved Productivity: The ergonomic design and comfortable seating options enhanced the overall well-being of employees, resulting in improved productivity and job satisfaction.

Efficient Space Utilization: The efficient placement of furniture and storage solutions optimized the use of space, ensuring that every corner of the 23,000 square meters was functional.

On-Time Completion: Despite the tight three-month timeline, the project was successfully completed on schedule, minimizing disruption to the daily operations of Kaushal Bhavan.
