Climate Resilience Observatory

Project Overview

Momentum Interiors collaborated with the Climate Resilience Observatory(CRO) in Lucknow to create a state-of-the-art operational workspace that brings coordination, data, and decision-making under one unified environment.

The client needed a command and control setup capable of displaying real-time climate and disaster updates while allowing high-authority teams to take quick, informed actions. The project involved the complete setup of the main command hall, meeting rooms, and back-office zones, all designed to enhance communication, visibility, and performance.

Every detail was purpose-driven colour-coded work zones were introduced to represent each department: 🔴 Response, 🔵 Preparation, 🟢 Recovery, and 🟡 Mitigation. A massive digital screen formed the visual centrepiece, enabling continuous updates and monitoring.

Despite a strict 50-day timeline, our team delivered the entire project in just 45 days, executing with precision and efficiency. The result is a high-performance, future-ready space that enables rapid coordination and seamless collaboration across departments.

The Challenge

The CRO project demanded more than just furniture  it required building a command environment that could handle critical data, live updates, and multi-department interaction simultaneously.

The major challenge was the timeline. With only 50 days to design, plan, and install, every stage had to be executed with clockwork precision. The layout needed to balance transparency and privacy, ensuring open collaboration for teams, while keeping strategic meetings confidential.

Additionally, the command hall had to be ergonomically optimized for long operational hours, equipped with perfect sightlines to the main screen, and structured for clear hierarchy  placing senior authorities at the forefront for immediate decision access.

The Solution

Momentum Interiors approached the project with a design strategy focused on function, visibility, and speed.

Our team divided the entire workspace into functional zones:

  • Main Command Hall: Featured a large digital display and front seating for decision-makers.

  • Departmental Work Zones: Color-coded partitions (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) aligning with the operational flow of each department.

  • Glass-Partitioned Meeting Room: For privacy during discussions while maintaining an open visual line.

  • Back Office Area: Equipped with ergonomic furniture for data teams handling satellite and field updates.

Each workstation and meeting space was planned to maximize comfort, focus, and communication flow. Using Featherlite workstations and ergonomic chairs, along with tailored partitions and flooring solutions, the space became a model of both design and purpose.

The Execution

Executing under pressure, the Momentum Interiors team worked in multiple shifts to ensure the project met every milestone ahead of time.

  • Completed in 45 days — five days before the target.

  • Coordinated simultaneous work across hall, meeting, and back-office areas.

  • Conducted off-site preassembly to minimize on-site installation time.

  • Maintained daily quality checks and client updates to keep progress transparent.

The synergy between our design, logistics, and installation teams made possible what most would call impossible — a fully functional, high-tech workspace delivered before schedule.

The Impact

The new CRO facility now operates as a command hub for climate and disaster response coordination, improving the speed and accuracy of decision-making.

The layout ensures instant inter-departmental communication, real-time visual tracking, and improved team productivity. The integration of a high-impact display system and color-coded workspace has enhanced clarity, focus, and workflow for all departments involved.

Delivered ahead of schedule and beyond expectations, this project reaffirmed Momentum Interiors’ position as a trusted partner for mission-critical institutional projects.
